Some might be under the notion that kids will be a hindrance in enjoying one’s trip to the fullest. However, we shall prove this notion wrong. Growing up, we have forgotten the kid-like excitement and enjoyment nature of ours. These are the lessons one needs to brush up on the vacations taken to rejuvenate ourselves post everyday stress and tensions.

Once in awhile, we need to let ourselves go and experience some carefree and peaceful moments which only a child can experience nowadays.

Below is one such family, who took their kids on a family trip to Thailand and had an unforgettable experience which they will cherish for their whole lives.

Senthil and his family approached us with a desire to go to Thailand. They were a group of  4 adults with 2 children. Floating Market:

The group of 6 enthusiastic people began their Thailand Family Vacation from Chennai and landed straight in Pattaya at 5 a.m. A private van was arranged for the whole family to pick up from the airport. However,  as the check-in time was at noon, we planned a trip to the infamous Floating market before being transferred to their 4 Star Discovery Hotel. This is one of the top itineraries on “Things to do in Thailand with the kids’ list. These floating markets give a feel of Venice in Asia. Truly an awe-inspiring experience. Everything from groceries to souvenirs being sold on boats sailing across. And the best part of these floating markets is the authentic Street Food, never to be missed on a family trip to Thailand.

Hotel Check-in:

Art in Paradise:

Post this fun-filled experience, we then headed to the most entertaining venue – Art In Paradise. This is one of the most artistic and creative art galleries one should visit in the whole world. And a definite not-to-miss itinerary of “Places to visit in Thailand with kids”.

This place is so well planned and executed that anyone from any age group will enjoy it to the fullest. The artists who have contributed to this art paradise are so talented that their 2D painting will look like 3D painting where if you pose in a particular angle you will also look like being a part of that painting. There are so many funny painting situations, to be a part of which is worthy of capturing in the frames for a lifetime!

Post this morning schedule, it was time to check-into the hotel and rest for some time for a fun-filled night!

The first day of their tour was still not over even post-sunset. Sunset called for some night shopping. What another place than the Thepprasit Night Market. Their private SUV picked them up from their hotel at 8 p.m. Thailand is always known for its famous street foods to taste your taste buds. From fresh juices to freshly cooked seafood. You get everything here.

Post shopping and having fun food, they were transferred back to their hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Coral Island awaits!

The Much awaited Island tour. Koh Lam is a mini paradise on Earth that is lined with swaying palm trees, white sandy beaches, and crystal blue waters. Famously known as The Coral Island, it’s land is of lush green hills providing a spectacular backdrop for the tranquil oceans. You can choose whatever you want to do; from just lazing on the beach to taking part in heart-pumping water sport activities. The best place for a Thailand family vacation.

Lunch was also arranged in The Coral Island. And the cuisines were of Indian taste. Post lunch they spent some more time on the island exploring many other options which completely shows them the true beauty of The Coral Islands.

Post the whole day in The Island, they returned to their hotel in the evening and then headed to the famous Alcazar’s Show, at 7.00 p.m. This is a state of the art show performed by ladyboys with extravagant costumes and fine makeup You can see how much hard work they put in to display such a stupendous show. From K-Pop to Persian Harlem and topics from out of the world are performed. The auditorium with life-size sets is fantastic. Children are guaranteed to get lifetime entertainment in this show.

A perfect itinerary for a family trip to Thailand and an apt ending for Day 2 of Thailand Family vacation in Pattaya!

Day 3: A day amidst Wild Cats!

Post a tummy-filling breakfast at the hotel, the family checked out of the hotel and went straight to a Special Zoo which is one of the main attractions in the whole of SouthEast Asia, The Sri Racha Tiger Zoo.

This is the only Zoo where you will get to see a different side of these ferocious beasts. The National Animal of India, the numbers all around the world are getting lower and lower as time passes, and for this reason, this place acts as a home, hospital, breeding center for these animals. Not only tigers, but they do also have many other animals and a variety of animal shows as well. However, the main crowd puller of this zoo is the area where these adorable animals are.

One can cuddle them, feed them, take them for a walk (all under tight supervision) and treat them like yours. They are harmless, unlike the usual ferocious ones that we get to see elsewhere. The family and especially the kids had the time of their life at this zoo.

Especially the kids, if permitted they would have loved more and more time with these animals. They captured innumerable memories in frames that cannot be forgotten in a lifetime.

Indian style lunch was arranged at the zoo itself where they had sumptuous meals and directly started their road trip to Bangkok.

Reached Bangkok around 7:30 p.m and checked-into the 4-star hotel – Eastin Makkasan Hotel. The dinner at the hotel was followed by a good night’s sleep.

Day 4: Day of amusement!

Safari World & Marine Park:

This day marked to be the most entertaining days of all, especially for the children.

Post a good breakfast, the family started from the hotel at around 8.00 a.m and headed to the much-awaited Safari Land.

Sibling park to the amazing Phuket FantaSea Amusement park,  this is one of the most entertaining parks in Bangkok. Deemed to be the best place for a tour of Bangkok with Kids. It has two distinct areas – a Safari Park and a Marine Park. The Safari park is about 270 hectares where you can see different species of animals and birds living in harmony. Whereas on the other side of the park, there are many entertaining and captivating shows of birds, sea lions, dolphins, and orangutans which the kids enjoyed thoroughly!

Lunch was arranged for them at the park itself.

Asiatique Riverfront Mall:

Post returning to the hotel to take a bit of rest and get refreshed, the whole family headed to the humongous shopping center – The Asiatique Riverfront Mall in a private SUV. A night bazaar and a  shopping mall,  both in one place, and what’s more, it’s built overlooking a river. With over 1,500 boutique shops and 50 restaurants, it opens at 5 p.m every day and people throng to this place to enjoy shopping and eating. The Thai Puppet shows and other cultural shows were a super hit with the kids.

After an extremely hectic day filled with fun, excitement, and entertainment the family returned to the hotel and had a good sleep.

Day 5:  A religious day!

Bangkok Temple Tour:

Beginning this day with a tour of the majestic temples which are definitely a must-have scheduled in all of the Family trips to Thailand are the visits to spiritual places like Wats and Temples. Though the city of Angels is known for its entertainment, there are some mesmerizing temples in Bangkok, you should never miss.

Wat Traimit and Wat Ben (also known as Wat Benchamabophit) are two of the most famous Wats in Bangkok which is not to be missed. The solid gold statue in Wat Traimit is 5 meters in height and weighs 5.5 tonnes. The Wat Ben is known as the Marble temple as the main prayer hall is built using Carrara marble imported from Italy in the 13th century!

Both these magnificent and spectacular temples hold significant importance of their own and are peaceful in nature.

The next pit stop was at their hotel for some rest and rejuvenation and then they set out to have a private family dinner on the Chao Phraya Cruise. A beautiful setting on a ship peacefully sailing across the river with starry skies above was definitely a cherished memory for them. After having a delicious dinner and spending the last evening at peace the family was driven back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6: Time to say Goodbye!

Bangkok is known for its wallet-friendly shopping for travelers. There are many unique shopping markets in Bangkok, especially Indian women loves.

The last day of their trip to Bangkok with kids checked out of the hotel at 12 p.m and headed for some last-minute shopping and lunch.

Around 2 p.m. they were taken to the Sea Life Ocean World.

The best way to bid adieu to Bangkok is the indoor aquarium which is one among the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia. Located two floors below Siam Paragon Shopping Mall, it boasts of an area which is 3 times the size of an Olympic pool.

Kids will never forget this venue as a fun and entertaining place, as also educational, in a way which tells our next generation about the marine lives

Post a happy and satisfying visit to The Sea Life Ocean World, they were dropped off at the airport at 6 pm.
